College Station, Texas – October is always a big time for KAMU 90.9 FM, as it marks the first fund drive for the fiscal year and also the last fund drive for the calendar year. Therefore the drive is the one of the most important of the year for the station, as it sets a mark for where the station will end the calendar year and what needs to be raised for the fiscal year.

As always, this fund drive will be fast and powerful with special guests, special incentives and lots of excitement.

Bryan/College Sattion – In honor of Habitat's 20th anniversary, Volvo Rents is pleased to announce the Hardhat Comedy Show Benefit Concert. It will be an evening of family fun and entertainment. It will take place on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Wolf Pen Creek. Gates will open at 6pm. The event headliners are Comedians Jerry Carroll, Julie Scoggins & Larry Weaver. Live music will be provided by the Texas Twisters. Ticket prices are: $10 each/$30 family four pack (in advance) and at the gate tickets are $12 each/$40 family four pack.
